About Us

“Omishtu-Joy” is a startup which is established and located in Jimma Town, Oromia Regional State in the purpose of undertaking entrepreneurial activities at the level of small scale enterprises. As its name says “Omishtu-Joy”, ‘Omishtu’ means an Affan Oromo word to say ‘Producer’ and ‘Joy’ is an English word to express happiness. As our name indicate we strive for the producer’s joy by eliminating productivity barriers or limiting factors which harshly affect the farmers’ (Producers’) life. The Startup is planned to carry out activities including innovating, adoption and imitation of New and existing technologies of light to medium duty agricultural device of various products, fabrication of agritech device, and manufacturing products demanded in the local market, on the one hand, in making profit for the enterprise and, on the other hand, favoring the country’s growth and transformation plan by enhancing crop productivity.
